Teresa began studying art after a move to Dallas, Texas, but was exposed to oil painting all her life by her very talented and gifted artistic mother. Teresa was fortunate enough to begin her art in earnest under the guidance of Alan Ward, an exceptional oil painting artist whose realistic approach to a canvas is awe inspiring. Teresa also participated in plein air work shops in the Austin, Texas area where she was influenced by the teaching of Gay Faulkenberry, an award winning artist whose objective is to “capture the magic of nature..” Teresa also did extensive studies at the Austin Museum of Art, Laguna Gloria Art School in Austin, Texas. Painting for the last fifteen years, Teresa has found that her favorite medium is oil and her favorite subjects are realism/impressionism landscapes and street scenes of France and Italy. She has also done some Still Life and Floral pieces. Teresa is an award winning artist with her greatest achievement a “Best in Show” award for her Grand Canal of Venice painting in 2007.
